DESCRIPTION:A line-up of two of Vermont’s finest Celtic ensembles.  \nThe Catamount Pipe BandThe Catamount Pipe Band is Vermont’s premier Scottish bagpipe band\, an intergenerational organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Celtic music\, tradition\, and culture. In addition to enriching the community as cultural ambassadors\, our members are committed to honing our skills through performance and competition without compromising values of fair play and teamsmanship.  They have eight New England\, and seven Northeastern Championships to their credit\, and are four time finalists in the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow\, Scotland. \nPrydeinWhether you call it Celtic-rock\, kilt-rock\, bagpipe rock\, Scottish-rock or even Sham-rock\, Prydein delivers a high-energy performance loved by young and old. A typical Prydein audience is a pretty even mix of folks; elementary school kids to those disenchanted youth with hair the color of toxic waste and holes in their body that they weren’t born with standing next to elderly couples holding up cell phones in the air so that their middle-aged children can hear the amazing sound coming from a rock band with bagpipes.
