The awards have been created to recognize individuals who have provided outstanding leadership and made a real difference in their Scottish communities throughout New England.

Recipients of the awards will be recognized at a presentation to be held on St. Andrew’s Day, November 30th, 2023. They will be asked to become Ambassadors for the organization.

Please consider nominating an outstanding individual using the criteria below in nomination forms.

a. 2023 New England Scot of the Year

Awarded to a person who has delivered outstanding service to their Scottish community
in New England. This candidate must be 35 years or older on August 1, 2023

B. 2023 Emerging New England Scot of the Year

Awarded to a person who has delivered outstanding service to their Scottish community
in New England. This candidate must be under 35 years of age on August 1, 2023.

Nominations are welcome from organizations and individuals over the age of 18 years based in New England. Nominees should be based in New England or have a strong New England connection. The nomination process is open to all eligible individuals and organizations except members of the judging panel. The judges decisions are final.
Nominees will be short-listed, and winners announced on St. Andrew’s Day, November 30^th, 2023.

In the interest of transparency and fairness, board members, award committee members, sponsors and final judges will not be eligible for nomination. We will recognize their support and efforts in other ways.
