2024 Emerging Scot of the Year Award – Gary Kidd

Emerging Scot

The Emerging Scot of the Year Award recognizes individuals under 35 who have made a remarkable impact in their Scottish communities. This year’s winner, Gary Kidd, embodies innovation and passion for preserving Scottish culture.

Gary Kidd

Originally from Glasgow, Gary now resides in Kent, CT, where he owns 45 On Main, a coffee and chocolate shop that proudly celebrates Scottish traditions. From organizing a sold-out Burns Supper to teaching ceilidh dancing in schools, Gary has strengthened connections across the region. His efforts not only celebrate heritage but also build a vibrant and inclusive community.

Best of luck Gary on your 2025 Burns Supper! We appreciate all the work you are doing for the Scottish community in New England and are excited to see what you come up with next!

A special Thank You to British Consul General to New England David Clay, and his wife Sophie, who kindly hosted the awards at their residence in Boston.

We would also like to extend our thanks to our Event Sponsors below, without which, none of this would be possible:
