Holiday Shopping with Thistles & Things
‘Thistles and Things’ is one of our great Scottish Shops in New England. Scottish owner, Patricia, grew up with the influence of Scottish culture and currently teaches Scottish Country Dancing and plays both the Celtic harp and the fiddle. Patricia says “It is my love and passion for Scotland, its craftsmanship, music, and dances that led me to the decision to become the new owner of Thistles & Things”. Based in Harpswell, Maine, Thistles, and Things carry a wide variety of items that would make lovely gifts, from jewelry, kilt accessories, country dance ghillies, books, and more. Being a small female-owned business, Patricia may not be able to match the big companies’ Black Friday deals, but she will be happy to take the time to chat with you to find a perfect match for what you are looking for, and we all like to have a friendly face to help us out.
I invited Patricia to recommend ‘Thistles & Things’ top 5 gifts this season, and she has some great suggestions covering a lovely range of Scottish items. From a cute bib for babies and a fabulous book for the wee ones to beautiful brooches and kilt pins for the adults. I’m sure you will find some great gifts to delight that special someone.
If you would like to place an order, please email Patricia at [email protected]
Or feel free to telephone 207-841-3232.
Happy Shopping!
